The Summer Theme for the NLAPenWomen Women Magazine is Water.
Marlene Bell mtbellart@comcast.net is happy to report that she was accepted in three exhibits of late. One was the HOPE exhibit at Cotuit Center for the Arts, in which I had acrylics of both an abstract and an Inuit Mother and Child.
Another show was through the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, and was also exhibited at Cotuit Center for the Arts. The show was titled SO BIG! and my painting was a 5’10” acrylic with a tiny bird-like swath of color sailing through the universe. The bird represents us. The painting is entitled, “Bird of Paradise”.
During January an abstract watercolor of Marlene’s was included in a members exhibit at the Cultural enter of Cape Cod in Yarmouth.
Suzanne Packer will have her paintings included in the exhibition, 21 In Truro: Outermost Embrace at The Cotuit Center for the Arts. This exhibition reflects the influences from the week of retreat and painting in Truro, MA. with the group of artists know as 21 In Truro.
June 29 – August 8, 2011.
Reception to meet the artists is Saturday, July 9. 2011, 5:30 – 7:30
